Derek Holt from the Startup America Partnership will be sharing his start-up knowledge at the Unconvention! Derek Holt serves as Managing Director and is responsible for establishing and managing all national sponsor (American Express, American Airlines, Dell, Intuit, Microsoft and the NYSE Euronext) and partner (10 Fortune 100 brands) relationships. With a deep business and technical background, Derek is focused on accelerating implementation and execution of corporate commitments and offerings to help founders across the country accelerate and scale their businesses. Prior to joining the Partnership, Derek worked at IBM as the Worldwide Program Director for Business Partners and General Business in IBM’s Rational Software Division. Throughout his 10 year career at IBM Derek served in various leadership roles across IBM Development, Services and Sales. Derek was awarded multiple patents for his work in IBM development and has worked with IBM partners and customers in over 25 countries around the globe. Derek received his BS in Computer Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and his Master of Business Administration from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business where he was named a Fuqua Scholar.
