The European Young Innovators Forum (EYIF) is looking for a skilled, motivated Communications and Events associate to work with the EYIF Head of Communications and all of the EYIF Project Managers on communications, social media and events, including for events and conferences through-out this significant year for youth in Europe, named by EYIF as the European Year of Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
What would your role be?
We are looking for someone who will be able to:
- work with the head of the communications to implement the EYIF communications strategy
- create and manage content to be published through the EYIF website, tweets, facebook posts and mini blogs
- manage photo and video production, using resources from the EYIF’s suppliers network
- support the design and management of EYIF events and conferences
What skills, expertise and experience should you have?
You must have a Degree in Marketing and/or Communications, and/or Journalism; and at least 1 year of experience, preferably in a PR / Media Agency.
You will have expertise with social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Flickr and Youtube. Community management is one of the main responsibilities of the Comunications Assosiate as the main EYIF communications stream goes through the social networking sites: Content Creation; Responding to conversations; Reporting/Measurement; Planning and developing strategies for increasing engagement and conversion
You will have excellent writing and comprehension skills in English and also be experienced with web publishing technology such as word press.
You will be competent in MS Office programmes, particularly Excel, and Word, and should have experience of editing, blogs (experience with Photoshop; being familiar with any other photo/video editing software is an additional asset to your candidature).
We will be able to work accurately to fixed deadlines with minimal supervision; be well-organised with excellent attention to detail, and have good team and interpersonal skills. Teamworking is fundamental for EYIF and you need to integrate well with team members and the team environment.
