European Young Innovators Forum proudly announces the launch of the 1st EU Drone Awards, that will be hosted by Dominique Riquet, MEP and Vice-Chair of the Committee on Transport and Tourism at the European Parliament, on 24th January.
European Young Innovators Forum (EYIF), echoing its long-standing leadership in celebrating youth innovation and entrepreneurship, and with its ambition to bring together young Europeans with innovative ideas from major European cities, will organize, with the support of the key players in the drone industry, the first ever EU Drone Awards.
The 1st EU Drone Awards of the 5th European Young Innovators Unconvention will be held at the European Parliament on Tuesday 24 January 2017 starting from 20.00 with the VIP dinner. Dominique Riquet, MEP for France and Vice-President of the Transports Committee of the European Parliament will be the host of the ceremony. Other key policy-makers, such as MEPs involved in EU drone regulations, the Director-General of the European Aviation Safety Agency and the European Commissioner for Transport will be invited to take an active role into the awards.
The awards will constitute the cornerstone of the 5th edition of the Young Innovators Unconvention. These awards are here to celebrate the companies, innovators and entrepreneurs who are creating value in Europe and who are creating the basis for the future success of the drone economy in Europe that will bring jobs, break-ground innovation and new business models.
The categories are the following:
- “Best manufacturer”
- “Best drone-based application”
- “Emerging Drone company”
