Following the success of last year, EYIF renewed its valuable partnership with SLUSH, as part of its Grow Global Year activities, making SLUSH its reference conference in Europe and promoting its leadership as a role-model.
The 2-day event was held in Helsinki between 30th November and 1st December 2016 and brought tremendously positive results both for EYIF as well as for its consulting arm, EU Startup Services. SLUSH is the leading startup event in Europe and here you can learn more about our unique experience at the Northern Tech Wonderland!
With our presence there, we made once again clear that EYIF’s mission is to grow the European startup ecosystem and in this direction, we set-up and maintain synergies with strategic stakeholders that have a great impact on the European startup landscape. Thus, through our partnership with SLUSH, we selected and sent a delegation of 10 top-tier European startups from our ecosystem in the Finnish capital by giving them discounted access.
A highlight of this year’s editions was the two free workshops on EU funding given by EYIF’s Founder and President
Kumardev Chatterjee. These workshops gave us the great opportunity to meet startups all over Europe and equip them with the right tools to write winning proposals. The level of participation was extremely high and we managed to accommodate all requests by giving customized feedback to all the attendees.
In addition, thousands of young innovators, startups, policy-makers and investors visited our booth to learn more about our current and upcoming activities and explore ways to collaborate with EYIF in the near future. We also had the opportunity to engage with key players from big companies such as IBM and General Electric.
We are very pleased that we have been a part of one of the biggest tech events worldwide and that our partnership with SLUSH has been reinforced. In this light, we will have the pleasure to welcome Marianne Vikkula, CEO of SLUSH, as a speaker at the Policy Session of EYIF’s Unconvention 2017, which will be held at the European Parliament on 24th January 2017. Looking forward to seeing what it will happen at Slush 2017!
